BEGINNER PROGRAM OPTION:
IVY HOCKEY ACADEMY SUMMER CAMP 2013, BEGINNER PROGRAM:
- Ages:
4 & up
- Levels:
Boys- Beginner Level/Hockey Basics Girls- Beginner Level/Hockey Basics
=> Beginner Program is for players at a point they can skate faster than a walking speed, glide on their skates, and turn consistently without falling.
=> Players below this level, or with no skating experience or minimal skating experience should not enroll in the Camp- please email us about our "Learn-to-Skate" Program .
=> Players at a level well-beyond skating faster than walking speed, gliding, and turning without falling should enroll in our regular (non-Beginner) Summer Camp- Click Here
=> For Non-Hockey Sports Camp (see below), Beginner Program is for children aged 4-5

=> Half-Day Camp (Ice-Only Camp) "Ultimate Ice" (Mon-Fri, 3-hours ice per day), Beginner-Program Option $529/wk.

ABOUT OUR BEGINNER PROGRAM:
BEGINNER PROGRAM OPTION is integrated into each of our standard Camp options (full-day, half-day, ice-only, non-ice multi-sport camps)
BEGINNER PROGRAM OPTION provides extra, intensive level of instructor attention needed by Beginner Players
BEGINNER PROGRAM OPTION allows for regular hands-on engagement and assistance by instructors for younger children needing more than expert demonstration and verbal instruction in order to learn and improve new skills
BEGINNER PROGRAM OPTION includes custom-modified drills designed for beginner players, with extra emphasis on developing the key fundamentals and game instincts
BEGINNER PROGRAM OPTION is a full program covering all the essential skills and strategies of hockey, but tailored to players at a Beginner Level
For Non-Ice Multi-Sport Camps, BEGINNER PROGRAM works similarly: extra attention and engagement, modified program/teaching techniques, enhanced supervision to minimize chance of injury
On and Off the ice, our BEGINNER PROGRAM is designed to strengthen younger children's attention skills, focus and discipline, and enthusiasm for learning complex new things

Our staff have a wide wealth of experience both on and off the ice, including: Professional hockey; fitness training and kinesiology; schoolteaching and education; and years of experience in hockey instruction and Summer Day-Camp programs.
Our school philosophy emphasizes hockey skill development in an environment that is fun and exciting, and that keeps kids energized and engaged through a balance of on and off ice activities.
